Sockeye Salmon, also known as Red Salmon are ocean caught in the icy waters off Alaska’s Bering Sea. The silky texture and fresh flavor of their fillets derive from the cold-water habitat and the deep, ruby-red color of the flesh comes from the shrimp-like krill they feed on.
Certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council, Sockeye are the second most abundant species of Alaskan Salmon--but arguably on most delicious.
Each fillet has had the pin-bones removed, the skin has been left on, individually vacuum sealed and have been flash-frozen.
Online orders contain 4 to 5 whole sides or fillets that vary in weight from 1.25 lbs up to 2+ lbs each and are placed within an eco-friendly package liner also containing an adequate amount of dry-ice to ensure that your order arrives frozen.
